2nd: Christmas Break is over! (A couple of weeks ago!) I'm back to the blog like I said I'd be, it's just a little bit late...
3rd: Storytime!
So after two weeks of being back at Carolina, (45 minutes in Earth time) I decided to go out of town for the weekend. LCM, the Lutheran youth group on campus, was going to Boone from Friday to Sunday, and I figured I'd go too.
I finished my classes on Friday afternoon, and I went back to my dorm to pack; I had about 1.5 hours before I'd be picked up. Of course this means I ended up not getting to my room until about 1.25 hours later, and then not getting around to packing for even longer. They were almost an hour late, and I still had to rush and pull my stuff together at the last minute when they arrived.
There were about 35 people going in all, but we were spread out in different cars that were all leaving at different points in the afternoon/evening. I walked out to the car, horrendously overpacked, and at least 5 minutes later than people wanted me. The packing of the car didn't go well either: Apparently there was no room in the trunk for my bulky backpack and huge, heavy guitar case. I ended up wedged into the back seat of this old gray ford taurus (I have 0 recollection of what kind of car it was) with my selfish guitar taking up 80% of my foot and leg space, seriously limiting the angles with which I could do homework in my lap space, and being a rather large obstacle to my head to boot. (heh heh heh, I said "to boot") (also the guitar made it rather challenging to get in and out of the car: I had to draw on all of my extensive experience as a Olympic gymnast and a contortionist back in my time with the circus. [Just kidding, I was never in the circus])
The trip was off to an ominous start...
You'll have to come back next week to find out what happens in the horrifying conclusion of.....
"Return to Chapel Hill" (errr...Boone? The title was not thought out well.)
Throwing out an idea: a "choose your own adventure" themed blog post. Blows your mind, doesn't it?
